Embrace the fire. I presented a question to a friend, asking if it’s possible to cherish the pain of life. Can one truly find joy in the ebbs and flows of life, knowing with certainty that they will ascend once more? However, perhaps where we falter is in our belief that these experiences resemble the hell feared by Christians – perpetual and everlasting. Feared to be eternally trapped in doubt, poverty, and teetering on the edge of suicide.
Perhaps it’s delusional to embrace pain; instead, one should proceed with the understanding and faith that happiness will emerge once again. Nonetheless, there are moments when the fire appears ceaseless, persisting endlessly until the day arrives when the burns engulf us completely, and the return of the phoenix becomes an unreachable hope. Our existence resides in a realm of pretenders, actors, and bamboozlers, traversing the world while deceiving themselves, embracing the notion that anything can render life meaningful.
Through my experiences, I’ve come to comprehend that hate, anger, depression, and despair serve as indicative emotions. They provide us with insights into where we lack fulfillment. Pretense is no longer sustainable. When heartache manifests, we must listen. As the mind experiences restlessness, we should find repose. Eventually, all activity will halt, and emotions will wash over us.
